Qrar360 Scoring Methodology
Qrar360 runs two separate scoring systems: the Provider Score and the Product Score. The two are never combined — a strong institution can still offer a weak product, and a good product does not offset a weak institution at the regulatory level.
Scale & Scope
Every score ranges from 0 to 100. Each result is clearly labeled with its methodology and version.
Coverage ratio answers one question: how many of the methodology's factors could actually be evaluated? Missing data lowers the coverage ratio and is never treated as zero — an unrecorded fee does not mean a fee of zero.
Confidence reflects the quality of the evidence behind the available data (whether it was verified against an official source or not), and is entirely separate from the coverage ratio.
A score is only published once both its coverage ratio and confidence clear the minimum thresholds set in its methodology, and every mandatory factor is available. There is no manual override of a final score — corrections always come from improving or verifying the underlying data, or revising the methodology itself.
Commercial Independence
No commercial, marketing, sponsorship, or commission relationship influences the Qrar360 Score in any way — not the factors, the weights, the coverage, the confidence, the publication thresholds, nor the Best Lists or Qrar360 Match results. The entire scoring system is independent of any commercial or marketing system on the platform.
Qrar360 Score vs. Best Lists vs. Match
These are three entirely separate concepts at Qrar360, and none is used as a substitute for another:
- Qrar360 Score — a general score for a product or institution based on a fixed methodology, without any specific use-case context.
- Best Lists — a ranking of eligible products within a given country, category, and use case (such as travel cards), using a weighting methodology specific to that use case — a different methodology from the general Qrar360 Score, even though it uses that score as one of its factors.
- Qrar360 Match — how well a specific product fits the requirements and preferences you specify. The highest-scored product overall may not be the best fit for your requirements, and vice versa. Match inputs are never stored to any account or profile.
None of these three systems is used as a substitute for another, and their results are never merged into a single number.
Qrar360 Provider Score — Core v1
Institution ScoringVersion 1.0.0Evaluates a financial provider's regulatory standing, identity transparency, operating history, active product presence, and Qrar360 data verification quality. Does not measure customer satisfaction, solvency, or service quality — no such structured, sourced data exists yet.

Official website present The provider has a recorded official website_url. | 10% | Feature present | No |
Operating history Bounded normalization of years since founded_year (saturates at 25 years — longer operation is not assumed to be inherently superior beyond that). | 15% | Derived | No |
Active product presence The provider has at least one active product on Qrar360 — a plain presence check, never a count (never rewards duplicated products). | 5% | Feature present | No |
Qrar360 data verification The provider has an entity-level verified verification_records entry. Measures Qrar360's OWN data verification quality, not the provider's business quality. | 15% | Feature present | Yes |
Qrar360 Product Score — Bank Accounts v1
Product ScoringVersion 1.0.0Evaluates a bank/savings/business account's cost, return, accessibility, and Qrar360 data verification quality. minimum_salary_amount, international_transfer_available, atm_withdrawal_supported, and joint_account_available were dropped entirely (0% real coverage across the 5 active bank accounts at authoring time). interest_rate and profit_rate are kept as two SEPARATE factors and never merged — a conventional and an Islamic-banking account are not comparable on a single "rate".

Qrar360 Product Score — Broker/Investment Accounts v1
Product ScoringVersion 1.0.0Evaluates a broker/investment account's cost, market access, investment features, and Qrar360 data verification quality. Peer sample is thin (4 active products across 3 providers at authoring time — below the methodology's own minimum_peer_sample_size of 5), so cost normalization uses fixed absolute bounds rather than any peer-relative ranking. uae_stocks, mutual_funds, bonds, custody_fee_amount, and platform-presence were dropped entirely (0% or too-weak real coverage). margin_trading, options_trading, forex_trading, and crypto_trading are deliberately never scored — they are capabilities, not inherently better outcomes.

Qrar360 Product Score — Credit Cards v1
Product ScoringVersion 1.0.0Evaluates a credit card's cost, rewards/benefits, accessibility, and Qrar360 data verification quality. foreign_transaction_fee_rate, virtual_card_available, and supplementary_card_available were dropped entirely (0% real coverage across the 8 active credit cards at authoring time); miles_available, contactless, apple_pay/google_pay support were dropped for weak coverage (<40%). Sharia compliance is never scored — it is a preference/filter, not a quality signal.

Qrar360 data verification Measures Qrar360's OWN data verification quality for this product, not the card's quality. | 15% | Feature present | Yes |
Qrar360 Product Score — Money Transfer v1
Product ScoringVersion 1.0.0Evaluates a money transfer product's cost, access/delivery methods, RECORDED corridor coverage, and Qrar360 data verification quality. Only one active money-transfer product exists at authoring time (Al Ansari Money Transfer) — peer statistics for this vertical are necessarily a sample of one and are reported, never treated as a robust ranking. transfer_fee_rate, fx_markup_rate, and card_funding_supported were dropped entirely (0% coverage). Corridor coverage counts ONLY recorded money_transfer_corridors rows — it never infers global reach.

Qrar360 data verification Measures Qrar360's OWN data verification quality for this product. | 20% | Feature present | Yes |
Current Methodology Limitations
Some relevant factors (such as foreign transaction fees on credit cards, or a number of bank account features) are not currently scored due to limited coverage in Qrar360's verified data so far — not because they are unimportant.
Peer statistics are calculated and shown for transparency, but actual score normalization in this version relies on documented absolute thresholds, particularly in categories with a limited number of products.
This score reflects Qrar360's methodology and the data currently available and verified — nothing more. It is not financial advice, and it does not guarantee the accuracy or continuity of any institution's or product's actual terms. An institution's actual terms may change — always verify with the official source before making any financial decision.
